What's My Size Again?
A sizing chart is all well and good if you know what ring size you are!
What if (like me many a times) you are sat at home browsing, a ring catches your eye but you haven't a clue what size you need!
Have no fear Steel & Grace is here...
Have a look at our step-by-step guide for how to measure for your ring size at home! xx
What You'll Need:
- A strip of paper or a piece of string
- A ruler (preferably in millimetres)
- A pen or pencil
Step-By-Step Instructions
-
Cut a Strip of Paper or Use String
Cut a narrow strip of paper (about 1 cm wide) or use a thin piece of string. -
Wrap It Around Your Finger
Wrap the paper or string around the base of the finger you want to measure. Make sure it's snug but not too tight. -
Mark the Overlap Point
Use a pen to mark where the paper or string overlaps itself. -
Measure the Length
Lay the marked strip or string flat and measure the length from the start to the mark with a ruler. Record this measurement in millimetres. -
Find Your Ring Size
Use the measurement to determine your ring size using a standard ring size chart. For example:- 50 mm = Size K/ US 5
- 54-55 mm = Size N/ US 7
Tips for Accurate Measurement:
- Measure your finger at the end of the day when it's at its largest.
- Avoid measuring when your hands are too cold or too warm, as this may affect accuracy.
- If your knuckle is much larger than the base of your finger, measure both and choose a size that fits comfortably over the knuckle.
