What's My Size Again?

A sizing chart is all well and good if you know what ring size you are!
What if (like me many a times) you are sat at home browsing, a ring catches your eye but you haven't a clue what size you need!

Have no fear Steel & Grace  is here...

Have a look at our step-by-step guide for how to measure for your ring size at home! xx

What You'll Need:

  • A strip of paper or a piece of string
  • A ruler (preferably in millimetres)
  • A pen or pencil

Step-By-Step Instructions

  1. Cut a Strip of Paper or Use String
Cut a narrow strip of paper (about 1 cm wide) or use a thin piece of string.

  2. Wrap It Around Your Finger
Wrap the paper or string around the base of the finger you want to measure. Make sure it's snug but not too tight.

  3. Mark the Overlap Point
Use a pen to mark where the paper or string overlaps itself.

  4. Measure the Length
Lay the marked strip or string flat and measure the length from the start to the mark with a ruler. Record this measurement in millimetres.

  5. Find Your Ring Size
Use the measurement to determine your ring size using a standard ring size chart. For example:

    • 50 mm = Size K/ US 5
    • 54-55 mm = Size N/ US 7

Tips for Accurate Measurement:

  • Measure your finger at the end of the day when it's at its largest.
  • Avoid measuring when your hands are too cold or too warm, as this may affect accuracy.
  • If your knuckle is much larger than the base of your finger, measure both and choose a size that fits comfortably over the knuckle.
